. Edwards is a Maine native who grew up in Dyer Brook in Aroostook County.  He attended Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine where he double-majored in History and Government/Legal Studies with a minor in Education.  He also completed and successfully defended an Honors thesis.

After receiving his A.B. from Bowdoin College in 2009 Andrew served a year as an Americorps VISTA volunteer at Deering High School in Portland, Maine where he mentored and worked with students on access to higher education.

In 2013 Andrew graduated from the University of Maine School of Law and was recognized with the Pro Bono Public Service Award for his volunteer work at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic.

Andrew S. Edwards was admitted to the Maine State Bar in 2013 and opened Northland Legal Services, LLC, PA.  Since that time Andrew has been recognized for his Pro-Bono work by being recognized by “Katahdin Counsel Program.”

Andrew has focused his practice on the defense of criminal charges.  During his years in practice Andrew has successfully handled hundreds of cases including drug charges, Operating Under the Influence, Domestic Violence Assault, Burglaries, Arson, Aggravated Assault, Theft, among others.  Never one to back away from a challenge, Andrew has successfully defended clients at trials on charges including Robbery, Theft, Assault on an Officer, Criminal Mischief, and others.
